Didn't quite know what to expect of the Apple Pie Challah but figured it would be good and I was right. The same lovely challah we are used to, made into a traditional round shape for the High Holy Days and garnished inside with apple. Each bite was a kind of sweet surprise. And since apples and honey are a traditional treat at this time of year, dipping this challah in honey made a very nice treat!

The challah was delicious, as always. However, the boxes were overpacked (2 boxes for 21 challahs), which resulted in half the challahs being flattened and not very pleasing to the eye. All the challahs, but one for my family, we’re gifts so the flattening was disappointing.

Really Is Bread of Heaven
I order the challah bread to slice it thick and serve as French Toast.
I usually get 6-8 slices from a loaf, depending on how thick I slice it. I'm full after two slices, so one loaf goes far. I refrigerate leftovers and it warms up great in the microwave.
I've ordered the blueberry, cherry and apple pie swirl challah bread. All three are excellent, but the apple pie swirl challah bread is my favorite. The apple chunks are a real treat for me.
I've ordered for home delivery, and it's at my door the day it's promised first thing in the morning. What a great way to wake up in the morning.
